A simple idea, in 2017
Teacher Booker started with one observation: schools were paying expensive agency fees for the same supply teachers, week after week, while those teachers were taking home a fraction of the rate the school was being charged. Both sides were losing — and so were the children, because high staff churn was undermining continuity in the classroom.
We built Teacher Booker to fix that: a platform that lets schools book the supply teachers they trust directly, build their own internal staff bank, and take control of their agency spend.

As schools, multi-academy trusts and local authorities adopted Teacher Booker, we built more of what they needed: an applicant tracking system for permanent recruitment, agency management for the times you do still need an agency, Agency Gateway for compliant access to approved supply chains, and AgencyOS for the supplier agencies themselves.
Today Teacher Booker is the all-in-one supply staffing and recruitment platform for UK education — used by schools across the UK and trusted by MATs, councils and Government.
In 2024 we launched Omnijo, our sister brand, to bring the same technology to social care and other public-sector workforces. Teacher Booker remains 100% focused on education.
