Yes, all teachers and support staff need to be registered with the EWC to join the National Supply Pool for Wales. For more information about the EWC and how to register, please visit their website
The National Supply Pool for Wales will be a staggered implementation across all LAs in Wales. It will start with Anglesey which we are in the process of implementing and eventually roll out across every LA in Wales. In the meantime, we are inviting supply staff to register on the platform to ensure that they have created their profile ready for when this platform is rolled out in their Local Authority area over the coming months.
The software license fee for any school users, supply teachers or support staff has been paid for by the Government so it will be free for all to access.
Teacher Booker is a software company from which the Welsh Government has procured our booking and compliance platform to launch a National Supply Pool for Wales. This will allow schools to post jobs without agency margins and supply teachers to be paid at a better rate and have access to TPS (where applicable), whilst not costing schools any more.
Once you have begun the registration process, you will be prompted to upload documents to the Vetting tab. These include:
– CV
– Enhanced DBS (issued in the last 12 months or on the Update Service)
– Photo ID
– Proof of Address
– Right to Work
– The contact details of two referees (one must be your most recent employer)
Once you request vetting and your documents are all processed, you will be invited to an online video screening.
